Andreea Tudor
CBT THERAPIST FOR DIFFICULTIES WITH BINGE EATING, BULIMIA, AND LOW SELF-ESTEEM
Living with an eating disorder can be really difficult.
Between guilt around food, constant body checking, and pressure to look a certain way, it can feel as though your mind is stuck in a loop of anxiety, avoidance and short-term coping that makes lasting change feel difficult to reach.

Many people also feel caught between two different versions of themselves: one that believes control over food or weight is crucial, and another that knows there is more to life than rules and self-criticism, but doesn’t yet know how to approach lasting change. This sense of stuckness can bring doubt, but your experience is both very human, and manageable.

There is a place where the number on the scale holds less power, and where choices are guided more by trust than fear. Where you can notice urges to compensate without needing to follow them, enjoy food when you want to, pause when you’re satisfied, and feel worthy in your skin even as your body changes. My aim is to help you build a steady foundation for that place.
Hi, I’m Andreea. I’m a BABCP-accredited therapist specialising in difficulties with disordered eating, body dissatisfaction and self-worth. I primarily work using CBT alongside integrating DBT, ACT, and Compassion-Focused approaches to support meaningful change, as guided by your goals and values.

My Approach
Understanding patters. Practising courage. Regaining choice.
Having recovered from an eating disorder myself, I understand the internal push–pull that often comes with living with, and recovering from an eating disorder. In my work, I take time to understand what's been shaping your relationship with food, and we work together to challenge unhelpful patterns step by step, at a pace that feels manageable for you.
Together, we can make sense of why binge eating happens - and how it's rarely about willpower or discipline - and work towards changes that reduce its grip. We can also understand urges to restrict, overexercise, purge, or use weight-loss methods, and develop ways of responding that gradually take power away from the eating disorder and give it back to you, where it belongs.

I'm mindful no two people's experiences or recovery paths are the same, and that recovery rarely looks neat and linear. It's important to me that you feel supported, listened to, and respected in your individuality. Alongside CBT-E, I also offer support for difficulties that sit alongside eating disorders, including OCD, trauma, social anxiety, depression, body dissatisfaction, or low self-esteem.

Process
Introductory call
15 - 30 minute free consultation
It's very common to feel unsure, nervous, or curious about starting therapy. I offer a free consultation to all of my prospective clients so we can meet, talk through what's been going for you and see whether working together feels like a good fit.

There's no obligation of commitment. I like to offer this space so you can get a sense of how I work and answer any questions you have.
Assessment
1 hour for difficulties with anxiety or depression
1.5 - 2 hours for difficulties with disordered eating or body image
The assessment aims to build a full picture of main difficulties, so that therapy sessions are tailored to your needs.

Nerves can be very common, and it's important to me to go at a pace that feels comfortable for you. You are always welcome to pause, ask questions, or let me know if something feels difficult.
During this time we will explore how you think, feel and act when faced with challenging situations, as well as your mental and physical health history, and goals for therapy.
Therapy sessions
Personalised treatment plan
In therapy we focus on understanding what’s been maintaining your difficulties, increasing awareness of patterns, and finding new ways of responding that feel more supportive and sustainable.
In CBT-E, we work together on eating patterns, urges, and body concerns, practising skills in sessions and gradually applying them in everyday life.
For difficulties related to anxiety or depression, CBT is tailored to your specific goals and experiences. Where helpful, I also integrate approaches from DBT, ACT, and Compassion-Focused Therapy.
Testimonials
"Andreea made our sessions such a safe space to discuss a topic I never thought I'd be able to talk about. I had deep shame about my eating disorder and over the process it's become something I am happy to discuss openly in sessions and for the first time with friends. My relationship with food is now better than I can ever remember it being. I'm truly so grateful for that."

"I started sessions blaming myself for the things that happened to me. Andreea helped me process my experiences of discrimination, flashbacks and challenge my own criticism. I am now grateful to live a life where I choose what to do based on what's good for me."
"Andreea was so compassionate and gentle when I needed to find a way to meet new people after the race riots started. Thanks to these sessions I am out every other day talking to strangers, trusting my instincts and making friends far away from home."
